Project Detailer
The Project Detailer is responsible for initiating, detailing, and submitting active projects once the project bid has been approved. This position requires an experienced, detail oriented and quality-focused Project Detailer who can utilize their skills acquired within the window, door, framing, and hardware industry. The main objective for this role is to accurately and efficiently detail projects, which allows the project managers to focus on managing existing projects and the sales team to focus on winning new projects and bids.

Responsibilities for the Project Detailer:
- Collaborate with the estimators and sales team for review of project scope
- Reviewing architectural drawings, plans, specifications, addenda, and other relevant information
- The Project Detailer works closely with other departments, contractors, customers, and vendors.
- Utilizing experience and knowledge to comply with building codes, life safety, and accessibility requirements
- Create submittals & shop drawings by combining door schedules with product data
- Creating and implementing door hardware keying schedules
- Verify all vendor quotes for duration and lead times of projects and material
- Confirm submitted project pricing as compared to estimated project bid
- Collaborate with the project managers for job transition and technical support throughout each project
- Review shop orders as required
- Write detailed RFI’s outlining any issues or verifications required
- Upon return of submittal, revise as required for resubmission until final approval
Requirements of the Project Detailer:
- Minimum 3-5+ years of Project Detailing or Project Coordinating experience
- Experience working in the Commercial/Multi-Family sector
- Knowledgeable in Division 8 products and services (windows, doors, frames, hardware, etc.)
- DHI Certifications (AHC, CDC, EHC, AOC) (Preferred)
- Highly proficient in reading and doing takeoffs of construction- and shop drawings, blueprints, and specs
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Highly detail oriented and quick learner
- Experience and proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, Avaware and/or other window and door related software
