Summary of Responsibilities
The Preconstruction Coordinator works with the sales and estimating team to package all bid and design information before proposal presentation to the client. They are a pivotal piece in ensuring that the details are all covered by the designer and estimator. The PDC works closely with the client, vendors, and designer as selections are made for the residential remodel or new home build.
Essential Functions
- Meet with the production team to facilitate the handoff after the proposal presentation and remain available for consultation by the client, vendors, and production team during the construction phase.
- Develop a comprehensive preliminary scope of work for the project.
- Collect and evaluate bids from trades.
- Assist with ordering selections, ensuring timely availability for project milestones.
- Measure the job site and ensure initial and 360-degree photos are taken and uploaded to Buildertrend.
- Maintain and regularly update files in one drive and buildertrend, updating as needed.
- Communicate project requirements and updates consistently with clients, designers, trades/vendors, and the estimating team
- Obtain permits
- Conduct walk-throughs with client and Production Manager
following installs.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- 2+ years of construction experience
- 2+ years of design experience
- Experience with interior design and Bluebeam preferred. Buildertrend, chief architect and Office 365 experience a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid State driver’s license
- Able to lift 25lbs without assistance.
Compensation
- $60,000-$80,000
