As part of the Envelop Group family of companies, PSG Energy Group makes it easy for customers to explore and implement energy savings and sustainability measures. We take a comprehensive look at our client's energy usage to identify savings and renewable solution opportunities. We manage the entire process from concept through engineering through installation and provide ongoing O&M support.
Envelop Group's internship program offers a combination of mentoring, learning activities, and field work designed to give broad exposure to renewable energy solutions. This is a paid internship based in Indianapolis, IN, with flexible start and end dates from May to August 2025. Interns should be available to work up to 40 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks.
What you'll do a Project Development Intern:
- Collaborate with Engineers to provide project support for development, design, construction, and post-construction activities.
- Provide assistance with energy assessments including baseline profiles, end-use, and retrofit analysis.
- Analyze utility bill data and sub-meter data for buildings or for building systems.
- Assist with the assessment of project requirements to evaluate opportunities for energy efficiency.
- Prepare technical content, proposals, analysis, feasibility reports and provide critical peer review.
- Foster effective and positive business relationships with all parties throughout project phases.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Proven ability to gather, validate, and analyze quantitative data and information.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Preference will be given to local candidates; no relocation or housing stipend is available for this position.
- Must possess valid US work authorization and not require future employment visa sponsorship from Envelop Group.
- Willingness to travel to customer job sites, which may involve outdoor work and environments such as mechanical or equipment rooms. Site visits may expose the employee to varying weather conditions, moving machinery, heights, and other environmental factors.
