We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented professional to support our HHS client.
Duties and responsibilities include:
The Governance Lead (GL) works with the Governance Policy Team and the Training Awareness Team. The GL provides oversight of the design, development, and delivery of documents, artifacts, data metrics, and presentation decks for both teams. Additionally, the GL is responsible for the quality of deliverables including editing, feedback adjudication, and internal training/development of team members.
The GL will also maintain a robust schedule for engaging the client and providing strategic direction for program requirements, task allocation, resource needs, and workforce assignments. As an adjunct, the GL will ensure the integrity and timeliness of contract deliverables including adherence to internal policies, federal directives, etc. related to cybersecurity.
- The Governance Lead is responsible for leading the Policy and Training/Awareness teams and overseeing the drafting, writing, and updating of policy documents for the Agency and for appropriate Operating Divisions. Responsible for editing, proofreading and providing writing support on non-technical and/or technical documents or sections of documents prepared by writers such as manuals, procedures and specifications.
- Duties may include ensuring documents meet editorial and government specifications and adhering to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style.
- Influences development of solutions that impact strategic project/program/family goals and business results.
- Recommends and implements new solutions, processes, policies, standards in support of function's strategy and operations.
- Provides measurable input to new solutions, processes or standards in order to achieve functional/project objectives.
- Provide expertise in developing, supporting, and coordinating project timelines and milestones
- Conduct background research and analysis, including consolidation, analysis, and editing of technical materials such as reports of research findings, technical articles, news releases, standard operating procedures, guidance documents, and regulations
- Develop informational products for internal and external stakeholders: fact sheets, reports, memos, and recommendations
- Assist in management support activities: consolidation and deconfliction of inputs, quality control of responses, technical editing, and correction of products
- Assist in development of briefings for internal and external audiences, ensuring information is appropriate and in compliance with the current guidelines and policies and perform quality control to include editing documents for grammar, format, and content
- Assist in the planning and conducting necessary activities to engage the Agency and/or supporting divisions in the execution of policy development
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and writing skills with strong technical writing experience.
- Knowledge of Federal Cybersecurity legislation, regulations, and Executive Orders.
- Experience coordinating policies, directives, memorandums within the federal government.
- Senior developmental experience with federal, state, or local government policy development
- Expert application of the development for user community and executive level presentations
- Advanced level experience with negotiation techniques and managing difficult conversations
- Experience generating executive level reports/metrics and data analysis
- Security +, CISA, or CySA certification required
Desired Qualifications:
- CISM, CISSP, and/or Cloud certifications.
Education Requirement:Master's Degree in Cybersecurity, Organization Development, English, Communications, Information Technology, or +5 years of experience. Master's Degree in Policy and Administration or Health Sciences nice to have.
Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.
