Project Engineer - HGA Staffing

The Project Engineer position is a 1 year contract to direct position supporting a specialty chemical client in the Norco, LA area.   

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in specialty chemical plant environments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and executing projects using the Stage Gate process and a solid understanding of plant operations. This role requires an engineering degree and hands-on experience in a plant setting, where attention to detail and safety standards are paramount. The Project Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage projects from initiation through completion using the Stage Gate process.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to support plant operations and project integration.
- Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 5-10 years of project engineering experience in a chemical or specialty chemical plant.
- Strong knowledge of the Stage Gate process.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Candidates must be located within daily commuting distance of Norco, LA
