Job Title: Project Engineer
Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our team at a leading general contracting firm specializing in commercial construction. The Project Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects to ensure they are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure workmanship meets project standards and specifications.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular progress reports for project managers.
- Assist in resolving any design or construction issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, RFIs (Request for Information), and change orders.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the project.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Engineer in commercial construction is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction principles, practices, and techniques.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, Bluebeam).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
