The Quinn Power Systems Project Engineer will be responsible for the successful project management and engineering completion of the Sales Department customer purchase order contracts. Of particular interest is the areas of maintaining approved expense and profit budgets, and ensuring project schedules are maintained successfully. Must be flexible and able to manage multiple simultaneous projects and tasks successfully.
Wages
:Starting wage for the Quinn Power Systems Project Engineer will depend on experience and education. $89,960 - $135,535
Responsibilities
:Essential duties and responsibilities for the Quinn Power Systems Project Engineer include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Conduct thorough technical assessments and analyses to understand client requirements and propose tailored solutions.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and technical demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Provide support for equipment submittals, including overseeing the creation of submittal library and documentation such as drawings, spec sheets, TMI data, etc.
- Develop and maintain standard submittal formats and templates to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Act as the designated 'Dealer Champion' for the management and oversight of various systems and programs, including but not limited to AutoCAD/Inventor software, Factory EDDC, TMI, and Catdealer.com.
- Act as the primary liaison for communication with the factory's A&I Engineering team (facilitate technical communications with the factory), coordinate with vendors (on technical performance and operation matters), and with the QPS service department (regarding field technical items and equipment performance).
- Provide technical guidance and support for customer bid specification reviews, quoting efforts, and sales proposals, ensuring alignment with technical requirements.
- Assist in reviewing customer purchase orders to ensure adequacy of budgets and information.
- Offer advisory and assistance in projects, addressing technical aspects, substitutions, redesigns, and providing support for vendor and customer needs.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
- Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to members of the team.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal team, Cat dealerships, and industry peers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
:Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. College degree, engineering background or previous engineering experience will be preferable. Technical knowledge of engines, generator sets, automatic transfer switches, fuel tanks and ancillary systems, power circuits, and electronics required.

Technical knowledge of engines, generator sets, automatic transfer switches, fuel tanks and ancillary systems, power circuits, and electronics required. 5 – 7 plus years of experience in the field required.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Understanding of geometry, trigonometry and basic calculus. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Can concentrate on several projects and activities at once.

Valid California driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
