Responsibilities:
- Performance Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of powertrain unit performance metrics including quality, cost, and delivery. Utilize data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and opportunities to enhance competitiveness.
- Competitive Benchmarking : Research and analyze competitors' powertrain units to understand market trends, technological advancements, and best practices. Translate findings into actionable strategies to maintain or surpass industry standards.
- Cost Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost reduction opportunities within the powertrain unit production process. Implement strategies to improve cost efficiency without compromising quality or performance.
- Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance productivity throughout the powertrain unit lifecycle. Implement lean methodologies and Kaizen principles to drive operational excellence.
- Supplier Collaboration: Partner with suppliers to optimize component sourcing, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure timely delivery of quality materials. Develop strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and drive mutual success.
- New Technology Integration: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry developments related to powertrain engineering and manufacturing. Evaluate feasibility and potential impact of adopting new technologies to improve unit competitiveness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to align objectives and drive synergy across the organization. Communicate effectively to ensure a shared understanding of goals and priorities.
- Reporting and Presentation : Prepare and present reports, performance dashboards, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. Communicate key findings, progress updates, and future strategies to drive informed decision-making.
Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves) – Highlight Top 3-5 skills Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering , or related field. Mandatory
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, powertrain engineering, or related industry .
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Demonstrated experience in cost optimization, process improvement, and project management.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
- PLC experience
- CNC background
- Knowledge on machine tooling
- Assembly equipment experience
- Knowledge of cobots and implementation to assembly processes
