JOB DESCRIPTION
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares and presents intermediate level presentations
- Provides intermediate technical guidance and engineering disposition to department
- Attends PDR/CDR meetings and provides technical guidance where required
- Development of program engineering schedule and budget
- Reviews and coordinates departmental review of engineering models and documents in support of interior modification STC’s for large transport category aircraft
- Reviews and/or approves test plans and technical reports in support of interior completion or modification regulatory compliance
- Coordinates design solutions with regulatory approval authorities
- Collaborates with designers to ensure all designs are developed in accordance with industry best practices, internal processes and work instructions
- Works directly with supervisors and other engineers to develop and implement process improvements
- Drives positive engineering culture, leads by example and motivates others
- Assigns tasks to appropriate team members
- Mentors less experienced colleagues and facilitates growth personally and professionally
- Coaches and motivates team
- Coordinates, monitors, and reports aspects of engineering schedule and budget
- Moderate level of oversight required
- Assists with determining outsourcing strategy for managed groups
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent
2. 6 years of experience working in aerospace engineering design or analysis
3. Valid Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Advanced understanding of engineering principles
- Advanced knowledge of aircraft installations
- Advanced understanding of FAA/EASA Part 25 regulations
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word / VBA
- Basic experience with using/implementing management administration tools and systems for project control, tracking and reporting
- Intermediate experience with 2D/3D Computer Aided Drafting/Design (AutoCAD preferred, SolidWorks preferred)
- Knowledge of documentation standards
- Ability to convey/present written/verbal intermediate technical concepts
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Understanding of STC process
- Understanding of company processes/procedures
- Familiarity with airframe manufacturer customer portals (AirbusWorld, MyBoeingFleet, etc.)

The office building where this position works is a typical office environment with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues in the immediate vicinity of the work station. The employee in this position will experience occasional outdoor exposure to heat, cold, and environmental elements when called upon to locate personnel working inside or outside of a Hangar.
