About the Job
Duties:
- Manages project development and execution with a “safety first” commitment
o Implements only OSHA compliant projects
o Manages field construction with a “zero injuries” expectation
- Works with outside engineering services to manage all preliminary engineering studies and all contracted project engineering/management resources
- Determines appropriate engineering deliverables for all contracted engineering services
- Develops accurate project cost estimates and budgets
o Manages contract labor bidding and make good job award decisions
o Manages OEM bidding to ensure the minimum OEM performance guarantees
- Manages project costs at or below budgeted spending
- Develops and manages project schedules to ensure “on time” completion with business objectives met
- Possesses “boots on the ground” construction management experience
- Provides project start up and commissioning support
- Works with maintenance and operations team members to ensure accurate scope of work definitions and efficient project execution
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- 5+ years proven heavy industrial project management required
- Engineering degree preferred
- Ability to read, interpret, and edit engineering documentation across one or more disciplines necessary
- Ability to manage multiple projects as the project lead and manage multiple project engineers/managers/contractors required
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude desired
- Must be willing to temporarily relocate to the Pine Bluff, AR area
