Responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Plan and manage projects to improve manufacturing efficiency and capacity.
- Evaluate and implement new manufacturing processes to enhance operations.
- Conduct ROI analyses to assess the feasibility of projects.
- Oversee project execution with both internal and external teams.
- Design custom equipment using CAD software (AutoCAD, DraftSight, SolidWorks.)
- Ensure engineering projects are completed successfully by setting goals, budgets, timelines, and tracking progress.
- Develop automation projects with external partners, from start to finish.
- Coordinate the design, purchase, and installation of machinery and equipment, working closely with Plant Operations.
- Maintain relationships with vendors to keep equipment updated with the latest technology.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.
- Contribute to maintaining safe and orderly work environments at corporate and plant levels.
- Foster teamwork across plants and business units to drive improvements.
- Manage projects effectively, including planning resources, forecasting costs, and scheduling.
- Support capital projects post-delivery by collaborating with operations and maintenance teams.
- Ensure safety and proper training during project start-up.
- Assist in new product development by prototyping and ensuring manufacturability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for equipment and processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent industry experience.
- 5+ years experience in a Manufacturing Engineering or similar role.
- Experience with continuous flow manufacturing, standard work, and pull systems highly desirable,
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, DraftSight, SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with PLC and HMI programming, support and troubleshooting.
