We are seeking a Project Engineer for our Rye Brook, NY office in Westchester County. Project Engineers work with Project Management teams and provide support for the entire life-cycle of a construction project. Project Engineers must demonstrate knowledge in construction practices and provide coordination and administrative support to their assigned project teams.
Responsibilities:
- Complete new project updates in Procore, distribute initial drawings and plans to all required team members, assist Project Manager with insurance and permits as needed, send Superintendent Field team toolkits
- Schedule calls and meetings with internal and external project team members to ensure consistent communication flow throughout the duration of a project
- Support administrative responsibilities for each assigned job: process RFIs, submittals, subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and change orders
- Assist Project Managers with buyout process
- Create and distribute weekly reports as requested by client and leadership
- Assist in preparation of closeout package process: collect documentation from subcontractors, vendors, architects, clients, and members of the internal project team
- Other job responsibilities as assigned
- Occasional travel to project site as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
- At least 2 years of professional work experience, preferably in construction
- Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints and other construction drawings
- Excellent MS Office skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills required
- MS Project, Procore, and Timberline/Sage experience preferred
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage their time well on tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of professionalism
- Strong presentation skills
- Team-player and ability to build relationships well across the organization and team
