We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Project Engineer to join our team in the construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is eager to apply their skills and knowledge in a challenging, rewarding environment. The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing all engineering and technical aspects of our construction projects to ensure project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation.
2. Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
3. Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
4. Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
5. Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
6. Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
7. Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
8. Manage project budget, including tracking of project costs and providing detailed project cost forecasts.
9. Execute contract management processes and coordinate contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
10. Utilize Primavera P6 software for project scheduling and tracking.
Qualifications:
1. Proven working experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry for a minimum of 2 years.
2. Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar.
3. Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals etc.
4. Project management and supervision skills.
5. Strong understanding and experience with contract management.
6. Demonstrated experience in budgeting and financial management.
7. Proficient in Primavera P6 or similar project management software.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. BS degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
10. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an advantage.
