Project Engineer - Selectemp

National Solutions firm based out of Stamford, CT is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team. The Project Engineer will be tasked with designing, supporting, maintaining, and evaluating computer networking and telecommunication systems and installing, configuring, and maintaining physical and virtual computer servers.

 Responsibilities

• Designs and implements projects that include upgrades, office/workstation relocations, server migrations, server virtualization, Office 365 migration, and more.

• Work with the Sales Team to ensure proper solution delivery and be a representative of the technical team to clients.

• Research to resolve complex technical issues escalated by the service desk team.

• Provide technical and professional mentorship to junior staff and be an escalation point for challenging technical issues.

• Update and create documentation for client’s networks and ensure all standard documentation is created and maintained.

• Perform high-level onsite dispatch to troubleshoot/resolve client requests.

• Provide timely communication and resolution of issues with client.

• At times travel to client sites to help resolve issues.

• Ensure that all work performed is documented in ConnectWise, and completed in a timely, accurate and detailed manner.

• Contribute ideas to strategically address client IT needs.

Skills and Experience

• Advanced Windows Server expertise. (Configuration and Troubleshooting).

• Exchange, 2010, 2013, 2016, Office 365.

• Experience with Microsoft InTune and Autopilot.

• Remote desktop technologies (Windows RDS, Citrix) a plus.

• Virtualization knowledge a must (VMware and Hyper V).

• Intermediate to advanced understanding of networking. (Routing and Switching).

• Familiarity with enterprise-grade firewall platforms (i.e., Palo Alto, Fortinet) is strongly preferred.

• Azure and AWS experience (Networking and instance deployment).

• Comfortable with PowerShell.

• 5+ years of IT industry experience, preferably 2-4 years experience implementing projects.
• 3+ years of client-facing technical role and experience communicating with C-level executives.
• 3+ years of MSP experience is strongly preferred.
• RMM tool familiarity.
