We have two goals in this role:
1. Have someone available to assist with tasks as needed in various roles (helping estimators, helping keep project management paperwork up to date, helping reach out to subcontractors, acting as a quality/safety supervisor on job sites, occasionally providing labor on job sites, assisting operations manager with tasks, etc.).
2. Provide the opportunity to learn the duties involved in this industry and see where their strengths lie. After about a year or two, we would be hoping to start the individual down a track as an assistant estimator, an assistant superintendent, or an assistant project manager.

What You Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited university in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management or prior military service in place of education.
- Written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications, including Vista, Procore, BluBeam, and Microsoft Office suite.
- The ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction costs, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles, is desired.
- Project management

- Abilities to grasp technical applications and ideas, combined with a comprehensive understanding of basic commercial construction principles and standards.
- Technical understanding
- Documentation skills and the ability to follow up and close issues/opportunities.
- Safety management
- Developing project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management.
- Determining project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements and reviewing bids from contractors.
- Reviewing and making recommendations to management about project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
- Completing technical studies and preparing cost estimates.
- Assisting with the control of project plans by reviewing design, specifications, and scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
- In conjunction with management, controls project costs expenditures and administers contractor contracts.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assist with maintaining project database, entering and backing up data.
- Maintaining company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
