Our client has an immediate need for a Project Engineering Manager at the Fermi Nuclear Power Plant in Newport, MI
The candidate will serve as a liaison between the client and a team of engineers and designers to support modification packages at the nuclear plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary Project Engineering Manager representative, acting as a field liaison between the client and engineering group.
Provide engineering management and guidance to subordinate staff, enforce company policies, and act as the primary interface between UECI and the client.
Plan and manage work activities to ensure successful project execution while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence.
Supervise and delegate tasks to staff, monitoring day-to-day activities, and proactively identifying potential project challenges.
Demonstrate strong project leadership, working closely with Project Directors and other team members.
Understand the project’s scope of work and contract requirements, supporting formal status reporting and client presentations.
Required Qualifications:
BS in Engineering from an accredited university, with coursework in energy conversion and power systems.
PE License in any state with the ability to obtain licensing in other states by comity.
Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access at a nuclear power plant.
Experience working in a U.S.-based nuclear power plant.
Ability to work in a project team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
MS in Engineering (with a focus on Power Systems).
Field experience/walk-downs on power projects.
Electrical and/or Instrumentation & Controls Engineering background.
Experience preparing Engineering Design Modification Packages for nuclear power plants, including familiarity with Nuclear Standard Design Process (IP-ENG-001).
Skills Required:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multi-tasked environment.
Salary Range: $145k - $165k annually (Depending on experience and qualifications)
