Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Project Estimator at [Your Client's Company Name], you will be at the heart of our mission to deliver outstanding industrial projects. Your role will be essential in estimating project costs and capacity planning for subcontracted projects, ensuring they align with the broader project objectives. Collaborating with multiple departments, including engineering, procurement, and production, you will have the opportunity to drive the success of our projects and the efficiency of our processes.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- OEM/Rb/Rbx Estimator: Develop precise and comprehensive project estimates by meticulously analyzing project requirements, specifications, and drawings. Collaborate closely with various teams to align estimates with overall project goals and address any concerns or discrepancies effectively.
- Project Supplier Capacity Planning and Forecasting: Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and evaluate capabilities. Ensure timely project execution by assessing supplier manufacturing capacities and identifying potential bottlenecks or constraints. Provide recommendations to optimize production processes and resource allocation.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in project estimation, fabrication, and subcontract management. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance estimation accuracy and efficiency, including cost reduction initiatives for OEM Assy and Rebuild projects.
- Negotiate with Confidence: Use your expert negotiation skills to secure favorable project costing for outsourced components, services, and materials.
- Educational Background: A degree in mathematics, finance, accounting, statistics, or a related field. Candidates with degrees and training in engineering management or project management with relevant work experience may also be qualified.
- Proven Experience: 5+ years as an estimator in manufacturing, construction, or subcontracting.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with estimation software and tools, along with cost accounting experience.
- Analytical Prowess: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using all elements of Office 365 and ERP software.
- Certifications: Professional certification in estimation (AACE, ASPE Highly Preferred), Certified Associate Constructor (CAC), Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
