Project Estimator, Senior - Resource Management Concepts, Inc.

Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC) is seeking a talented Senior Project Estimator to support our Navy customer in Indian Head, MD. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing and determining project costs, enabling effective decision-making for multiple comprehensive modernization and construction initiatives. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of analyzing various factors influencing project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation
• Assess labor, material, and equipment requirements and costs to develop accurate project budgets
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to discuss project scope and clarify any uncertainties
• Conduct site visits and inspections to gather relevant data for cost evaluations
• Research and evaluate historical data to inform future project estimates
• Prepare bid proposals and present findings to senior management or clients
• Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure alignment with estimates
• Adjust estimates as necessary when changes or discrepancies are identified
• Utilize estimation software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain organized documentation of estimates, proposals, and contracts for future reference
• Collaborate on templates and tools to assist with the standardization of project estimation
• Mentor and assist with training for additional estimators on the team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in cost estimating is required; or an associate degree with five (5) years of relevant experience in cost estimating; or a High School diploma with ten (10) years of relevant experience in a related discipline/cost estimating
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, or comparable systems)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and industry standards
• An active DoD SECRET clearance is required. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $115,000 to $170,000 (annually).
