Job DescriptionArcadis is seeking a Federal Project Manager to join its government civic studio located in Washington DC. This position collaborates with a diverse and creative team, dedicated to excellence in design and innovative problem solving. This position requires someone who coordinates with the client and internal team members and supports the development of design.
We are looking for experienced, technically proficient, and personable candidates passionate about continued expansion of Arcadis service offerings within the Federal sector and specifically focused on military construction design and engineering. Working with Market Sector and Account Leads, you will support the strategic expansion of our Government & Civic A/E Design work based on your experience and relationships, provide technical input into successful project and program scopes, interact directly with clients regarding both existing and potential future projects, and engage both our internal client development organization and engineering team.
Role accountabilities:
- Partner with the studio manager to establish a planning and design vision
- Lead government projects
- Present and sell design solutions at client meetings and public hearings
- Communicate openly, embrace mentorship and nurture the next generation of designers.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or similar
- Professional registration preferred
- Must be U.S. Citizen
- Minimum 12 years of experience
- Experience working on US DoD projects and coordination with federal stakeholders
- Ability to advance a design through all project phases – from concept to detail development
- Experience designing large scale federal projects with a focus of expertise on DoD specifications and guidelines
- Understanding of market trends and ability to tailor designs to client’s business objectives
- Advanced communication skills
- Extensive experience presenting plans and architecture during in person and virtually to clients
- Advanced skills in Rhino, SketchUp, Photoshop & Illustrator
- Capabilities in parametric and advanced computational design is valued
- Basic proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Miro
- Understanding and passion for sustainable design principles and building systems
