PROJECT MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager position provides administrative and technical management of one major function or section within HGA. Project Manager assumes overall responsibility for budgeted man-hours and staffing. Project Manager recommends personnel transactions of all natures. Establishes work group standards, policies, and procedures.
PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leads the planning and implementation of projects.
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
• Define project tasks and resource requirements.
• Develop full scale project plans.
• Assemble and coordinate project staff.
• Manage project budget and resource allocation.
• Plan and schedule project timelines.
• Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
• Provide direction and support to project team.
• Ensure project is operating within quality assurance guidelines.
• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project.
• Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
• Project evaluations and assessment of results.
• Supervision and approval of proposals.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college.
• Minimum of ten years of full-time engineering project related experience involved with petro-chemical facilities.
• Experience including budgeting, scheduling, tracking, monitoring, and reporting within projects or programs.
• Experience leading projects in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Strong familiarity with advanced project management practices, methods, and techniques.
• Proficient in the use of MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word.
• Financial Management - Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections.
• Candidates must be located within daily commuting distance of Baton Rouge, LA
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
• PMP certification a plus.
