Project Manager - Building Construction - Brayman Construction

Brayman Construction in Hinton, WV is looking to hire a full-time Project Manager - Commercial Building to oversee and manage the building construction and park and recreation features at Bluestone Dam. This project management position earns a competitive salary and will require you to work a varied schedule based on the project needs.

Project Manager - Commercial Building Responsibilities

• Motivate team to complete quality construction projects through industry knowledge and leadership skills.
• Use organizational skills for: Contract management, handling change orders, preparing subcontracts, and scheduling projects.
• Consulting with superintendents and subcontractors.
• Leverage communication skills to build strong relationships with coworkers, clients, and vendors
• Ensure projects are delivered: on time, within scope and budget.

Project Manager - Commercial Building Required Skills & Abilities:

• Must have the ability to manage multiple subcontractors simultaneously.
• Ability to develop and review submittals for compliance with project requirements.
• Ability to perform project closeout including; punch list inspections, local building inspections, permits, warranty tracking, and closeout documentation required per project requirements.
• Scheduling utilizing Oracle Primavera P6 or similar software is required.

Project Manager - Commercial Building Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field, which may include Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Management. A combination of relevant experience will also be considered.
• At least 3 years of experience in commercial building construction is required.
• Work experience in both private and public sectors is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Government contracting.
• The ability to manage projects in size up to $10 million in value.
• Experience with site development, utilities, and building construction.
• Must have working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, masonry, and concrete work disciplines.
• Experience at developing request for proposals and scope of work for subcontracting is required.
• Experience estimating, change order development, tracking, and negotiation required.

Safety

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects. Project sites contain various safety hazards associated with heavy construction. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
