About the Job
- Responsible for construction administration, management, testing, inspection and completion of beneficial use, substantial completion, and closeout for SBMP capital projects managed by the SBMP Business Unit.
- This position requires significant interaction with the Operating Departments, Capital Planning and Budget, Procurement/Contracts, Estimating, Scheduling and the Design team.
- Additionally, the position requires: oversight of the SBMP's MCM/CCM, review of shop drawings and as-built drawings, preparation of scopes of work and estimates for change orders, and coordination of TA Labor services, inspections, and field activities to ensure that the contract requirements are met.
- In addition to duties described, the following may also be required: Attend design progress meetings and conduct field trips to investigate and document various field conditions;
- Perform various support tasks such as Master Plans, Engineering Force Accounts, Design Progress Reports, Project Status Reports, Distribution of documents for review and monitor submittals and RFI tracking log using A-Site
- Prepare Excel, Access and Word reports, including graphs, bar charts, plots, etc.; Provide support in processing contractor and consultant
payments and preparing Bid Documents; - Perform various document control activities, including logs, reports, etc.; Monitor cost control report and
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in electrical or communicationsengineering
The candidate will need a minimum of ten (10) years construction / design experience as a civil / structural engineer or inspector for a large and / or complex project.
