About the Job
The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project execution marketing, proposal, schedule, budget, technical quality, invoicing, accounts receivable, client satisfaction, deliverable output and project closeout. Sr. Project managers must be adept at leading teams good listeners, organizers, communicators and managers. They must understand the client and their needs, and be conversant with the discipline leads and partners on the project. They must be able to track the project execution against the requirements and be capable of making adjustments as needed.
Essential Functions of the Position
- Leads Business Development activities across a set of designated Key Clients
- Represents the firm in all communications with the client from the proposal stage through project closeout.
- Manages proposal efforts including development of fees / budgets, fee and contract negotiation, and team selection.
- Develops / Communicates project scope and schedule in a collaborative manner with the project team and relevant stakeholders.
- Prepares and Communicates Project Management Plans.
- Prepares client and subcontract agreements defining budget, scope and schedule, assuring all corporate contracting guidelines are adhered to and reviewed by the Chief Legal Officer as appropriate.
- Assures compliance and adheres to company policies and procedures regarding safety and quality in the execution of the project.
- Leads the project team in execution of the work.
- Controls the project schedule and budget throughout the project. Performs earned value analysis as required. Works with project accounting to perform monthly project maintenance. Communicates budget and schedule status to the project team as needed.
- Manages project billings and collection of receivables.
- Manages, approves, and codes vendor and subcontractor invoices.
- Prepares monthly project status reports and participates in Project Review Board.
- Manages the project file.
- Manages change throughout the life of the project.
- Manages risk.
- Manages project specific safety requirements.
- Manages project closeout efforts.
Minimum Requirements
- Ten years' experience producing projects, including at least five years managing projects. Level of experience is determined by nature and complexity of projects managed.
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, construction management, or a related technical degree is preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
- Good computer skills with minimum Microsoft Office skills and scheduling software skills preferred
- Strong in budgeting, scheduling, scoping with understanding of project financial controls.
- Understanding of risk management in the AE/Construction field. Basic understanding of contracting fundamentals
- Technical experience and educational background requirements will be commensurate with the requirements of the projects to be managed and will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
- Must be willing to work flexible schedules and overtime as needed.

- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
