The Digital Imaging Project Manager will be responsible for managing teams and processes related to retouching, eCommerce asset creation, and design projects, from editing and final processing through archiving and final end-use within the Marketing department. This role will be a key contributor to future image asset-related projects critical to the optimization of Arhaus.com, including CGI and product visualization initiatives. The Digital Imaging Project Manager must be a highly organized project manager focused on assessing, enhancing, and implementing efficient process improvements and workflows for imagery assets and related projects and excited to continually explore and learn new technologies. This position is located on-site at our Corporate Offices in Boston Heights, Ohio.
Core Job Functions
- Forecast, manage, and prioritize workloads and tasks for the photo retouching and production teams, from initial retouching to the final processing and archiving of files to be used internally and loaded onto Arhaus.com.
- Develop timelines, and budgets and track all projects related to image assets and be able to report weekly status updates to broader teams.
- Source, schedule and manage external talent when additional support is needed.
- Audit, refine and establish new workflows and processes to support growing image counts and workloads while improving efficiency and increasing output.
- Project manage image authoring/product draping-related projects and teams. Assist, when needed, in performing draping tasks such as creating fabric tiles, organizing and maintaining assets within Scene7 or other platforms, and coordinating the delivery of assets with third-party vendors.
- Evaluate current and future solutions for eCommerce image initiatives such as image authoring/product draping/CGI and site transformation projects. Identify and source potential new recommendations and partners.
- Serve as an expert in working with metadata, taxonomy, digital rights, search facets, and web-publishing processes.
- Identify supporting tools for best file management practices and process adoption.
- Stay up to date with the newest digital asset management and workflow technologies.
- Assist with internal digital file management and the organization of photography assets as well as sending and receiving image files to and from outside partners.
- Aid in cropping the new product and campaign imagery and loading to Arhaus.com platforms to launch in tandem with marketing campaign initiatives.
- Identify potential issues that may disrupt timelines and be able to proactively spearhead solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- 7+ years’ relatable photo production experience.
- Proven experience developing schedules, and timelines and managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Experience managing within a creative team supporting an eCommerce site.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset for resolving issues and driving streamlined efficiency.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a passionate commitment to accuracy.
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to quickly and proactively learn new skills and software.
- Hardworking, positive attitude, and passion for the job.
- Sound knowledge of project management software (Asana and Trello preferred).
- Knowledge of structured content standards (metadata, tagging) and asset organization best practices.
- Experience in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Bridge and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience with Scene 7, Azure, Shopify Plus, and 3D product rendering programs a plus.
