BWXT is looking for a Process Improvement Project Manager in Barberton, Ohio
Join our Digital Transformation team and lead business process improvement initiatives and enhance overall operational efficiency! You will work closely with various BWXT departments and sites, to understand process challenges and develop innovative strategies to optimize workflows and reduce costs. Some initiatives include transforming production planning and scheduling, creating a paperless manufacturing facility, optimizing digital data collection, and upgrading the existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions and adoption of new processes.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
1. Process Analysis & Optimization:
- Develops and implements strategies to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and optimize resource utilization.
- Conducts thorough analysis of existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with peers to create consistent processes and practices across the organization.
- Puts together project teams and collaborates with IT to evaluate and implement new technologies and digital tools to enhance process efficiency.
2. Project Management:
- Leads and manages process improvement projects from conception to implementation.
- Ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, by increasing employee adoption and usage.
- Prepares and presents regular reports on process improvement projects and their impact on business performance.
- Defines and measures success metrics and monitors change progress.
3. Change Management - Driving the People side of the Change:
- Communicates effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure buy-in and successful adoption of new processes.
- Helps to create and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance.
- Collaborates with BWXT leadership, IT teams, and other key stakeholders to align process improvement initiatives with business objectives.
- Works with site training departments to develop training materials and coordinate sessions to educate staff on new processes and digital tools.
- Evaluates and ensures user readiness.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of relevant experience in process improvement and change management OR
- High School diploma and at least ten (10) years’ relevant experience in process improvement and change management.
- Solid understanding of change management principles, methodologies and tools
- This position is in the Barberton, OH site. Must be willing to report to our designated site as scheduled. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Preferred Qualifications:
- At least two (2) years of project management experience.
- Proven experience partnering with IT to lead digital transformation projects.
- Proficient in data analysis and process mapping tools.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with Prosci ADKAR® Model.
