About the Job
Position Overview:
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing drywall projects, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drywall or construction management, with excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of drywall projects, from planning and scheduling to execution and completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met.
- Coordinate with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and address any issues or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes on all job sites.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, change orders, and other necessary documentation.
- Lead project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders as needed.
- Resolve any project-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure accurate project pricing and scope alignment.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in drywall or construction.
- Strong understanding of drywall installation, materials, and construction processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
