We are looking for a Service Delivery Specialist with enterprise telecom experience. This role does not involve construction project management. The ideal candidate will manage projects related to both lit and dark fiber. We seek someone with strong customer experience, who is autonomous, detailed, and organized.
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate and lead customer meetings, including kick-off and status update calls.
- Manage internal operations and engineering activities to ensure proper planning, communication, and implementation of solutions.
- Communicate customer requirements to cross-functional technical teams and project stakeholders.
- Provide project status updates, including dependencies, to customers to set and meet expectations.
- Develop a relationship with the client, serving as the primary point of contact for project status and deliverables.
- Perform critical path analysis to manage deployment aspects and mitigate risks.
- Make independent decisions affecting the project scope.
- Reject invalid work and recommend alternative actions.
- Take complete ownership of projects with minimal supervision.
- Resolve or escalate issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Build company image by collaborating with customers and employees and enforcing ethical business practices.
- Maintain district data for centralized functions such as fleet and inventory, if applicable.
- Track organizational priorities, organize meetings, track action items, and create reports and presentations as needed.
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience.
Experience/Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of Project Management experience.
- Experience managing large-scale, complex projects in a related industry.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Other Skills/Abilities
- Experience in direct and indirect people management.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of project management fundamentals, including requirement definition, resource scheduling, risk mitigation, and change management.
- Solid organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
- Understanding of OSP/ISP construction.
- Strong understanding of Ethernet technologies.
- Understanding of carrier installation, test, and turn-up procedures.
- Experience managing multiple vendors and resources for time-sensitive projects.
- Proven experience in customer relationship management with the ability to adapt project management approaches to meet customer needs.
Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $39 - $49/per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
