Overview:
Prepare quantity take-off and cost estimates for projects over $50k to furnish and install multiple product lines as manufactured by the company. Perform project management of awarded contracts including material ordering, scheduling, installation vendor selection and oversight.
Responsibilities:- Prepare quantity take-off from the construction documentation provided.
- Analyze the project requirements and define the application of the product.
- Apply the correct unit cost for materials, labor, and additional services, when required.
- Define the correct materials.
- Uses good time management skills to complete project tasks and meet established due dates.
- Create accurate, detailed estimates using Proposal form in MS Excel format.
- Maintain cost control monitoring and reporting of individual assigned projects, including oversight of customer invoicing.
- Manage the closeout process of assigned projects.
- Highly organized with time management skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with customers, installers, and Janus internal employees.
- Manage Installers ensuring they are installing Janus materials according to Janus specifications with the ability to understand multiple different product lines and the installation means and methods.
- Ability to manage a high volume of projects concurrently in a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Adherence to Janus International policies and procedures.
- Work with the estimating team to proactively correct project concerns and assignments.
- Attend customers' pre-bid and pre-construction meetings as required by Janus customers.
- Monitoring installer work performance.
- Developing and maintaining work schedules and forecasts for completion projects within the allotted timeframes.
- Research and implement products, processes, and services for continuous improvements in the delivery of results.
- Resolution of minor violations and ordinances and regulations imposed by governmental organizations.
- Provide emergency response as requested by Janus customers.
- Enforce appropriate OSHA requirements and Janus safety policies & processes.
- Project schedule management.
- A minimum of 5 years project management experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of multi-unit management experience in construction/facilities.
- Experience in the development of scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Possess a customer-centric attitude with the ability to collaborate.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite of programs - Word, Excel, Outlook, Project.
- Ability to learn new software as needed.
- Must be highly mobile and willing to travel extensively as the workload dictates.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
- Regularly required to walk around active construction sites and climb stairs in inclement weather.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
