We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager for GC Construction. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a rich background in the construction industry, specifically in wood-framed, wood framing, and wood frame projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation. The Project Manager will be an integral part of our team, driving the success of our projects, ensuring safety, quality, and timely execution.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of GC construction projects from initial planning to completion. This includes coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Review and interpret project blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
3. Estimate project costs and timelines, and ensure that all project activities stay within these parameters.
4. Monitor construction progress on a regular basis, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
5. Ensure compliance with all local and national building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental policies.
6. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is proceeding on schedule and to the highest quality standards.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
8. Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management, highlighting progress, issues, and proposed solutions.
9. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and professionalism.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, specifically with wood-framed, wood framing, and wood frame projects.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment, particularly in relation to wood-framed construction.
4. Proven ability to manage large-scale construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and quality standards.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve project issues effectively and efficiently.
7. Knowledge of local and national building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental policies.
8. Proficient in the use of project management software and other relevant computer applications.
9. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of professionals.
10. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
