Core Government Services (CGS) is seeking an experienced Project Manager, Health Care Environmental Services (EVS), to lead our team on-site in support of Veteran's Administration facilities in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The Project Manager plays a key role in providing a clean and safe healthcare environment. The Project Manager meets with the VA Chief of Environmental Services daily to provide updates and receive priorities or work effort. The Project Manager leads CGS team's day-to-day cleaning operations in support of the Environmental Services Department. Responsibilities will include training, coaching, evaluating, directing, supervising, and inspecting results. The Project Manager ensures patients, family members, and visitors have a safe and clean environment by providing the highest possible level of service. The Project Manager must possess excellent communication skills including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Government, with other on-site contractors, and all team members.
Knowledge & Job Requirements:
Knowledge of the physical environment including design, construction, sanitation, waste, and textile management.
Expert in regulatory compliance, finance, and administration actions.
Develops a team safety program designed to protect our employees and equipment.
Develops annual reviews of standards and work procedures for all housekeeping staff and supervisors.
Leads regular staff meetings and communicates with members of other departments to coordinate housekeeping activities.
Plans priorities work to ensure excellent service.
Hires and trains new associates in accordance with labor law and CGS policy.
Conducts regular inspections to improve services.
Prepares and submits VA directed reports including performance goals and accomplishments.
Provides staff education and continuous training.
Ensures staff cleans clinical and non-clinical areas as assigned per EVS standards.
Maintains quality assessment records as required.
Investigates complaints regarding service and operation of department; takes appropriate action to resolve the problem and maintains documentation.
Maintains property accountability and supply resource management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Certified Health Care Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) through the Association for the Health Care Environment (AHE).
5 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a health care facility setting.
Compassionate, servant leader with high customer service skills and emotional intelligence.
Ability to lead and manage a team through persuasive communication and appealing relationship skills.
Organized and able to multitask in a demanding environment while maintaining a strong attention to details.
Proficient in Windows based Office 365 and other business productivity software programs.
Bachelor's degree with Environmental Services (EVS) management or similar major.
EVS experience supporting a Veterans' Affairs Hospital
Working Conditions: inside office on Government hospital site
Required Travel: Minimal
Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt (Salary)
