Heavy Civil Project Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager to oversee our projects in heavy civil earthworks, underground utilities, and preferably roadway construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex projects, ensuring quality, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and balance manpower, equipment, and job tasks.
- Act as the primary contact for project owners, conducting pre-work and weekly meetings.
- Collaborate with superintendents and foremen to develop comprehensive work plans.
- Supervise project engineers, oversee submittals, and build project schedules.
- Price change orders and approve pay estimates.
- Manage force account work in partnership with superintendents and foremen.
- Communicate and coordinate with subcontractors, including locating and pricing subcontracts.
- Ensure quality assurance through effective oversight of site management.
- Collaborate closely with company owners and estimators on bid estimates.
- Participate in hiring processes for superintendents, foremen, and skilled laborers.
- Promote and enforce job-site safety protocols directed by superintendents and foremen.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in heavy civil project management, specifically in earthworks and underground utilities.
- Familiarity with roadway construction is preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project demands.
Salary: $120,000+ per year or paid on experience
Benefits: Health insurance (100% employer-paid), 401K with up to 3% match after one year, company vehicle and fuel, PTO per Washington State guidelines.
