Your MISSION as Project Manager II:
Take 1-3 concurrent projects with medium-to-large complexity from start to finish with limited support while remaining on time, under budget and exceeding client expectations.
Outcomes and Objectives:

Lead 1-3 concurrent project teams with medium-to-large complexity through all stages of the Shockoe SDLC to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations and internal standards, tools, and methodologies

Develop, define, communicate and execute project plan, scope and deliverables with very limited guidance from Senior Project Managers

Engage in decisions that impact project scope

Identify and track project issues/risks, assess impact and execute a timely resolution

Present and own project budgets for the life cycle of the project, delivering efforts on time and under budget

Responsibilities:

Work effectively and independently in a fluid, fast-paced environment working with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and CMS (Content Management System) software

Take full accountability for the proper and consistent execution of all assigned projects
-
Understand, own and independently manage all aspects of Shockoe’s SDLC, applicable PMO processes and methodologies, and Statement of Work (SOWs) for strategic projects/programs that range in scope, budget and team size

Lead cross-functional teams, both technical and non-technical, in the delivery of multiple, concurrent projects with medium - high levels of risk and complexity

Lead high-level project management duties with minimal oversight as well as have the ability to handle in-depth tasks and resolve complex process and data issues

Independently develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive, accurate project plans and schedules

Create and control project documentation, providing and maintaining accurate and timely project information in all project plans, communications, status reporting, and Drive documentation

Proactively identify and track risks, issues or obstacles to each project, assessing impact and executing a timely resolution

Manage and lead estimation, forecasting, planning, analysis, issue / risk / change management, escalation management, meeting facilitation, variance analysis, and status reporting for assigned projects

Present project status to the business/technical steering committees and client stakeholders

Assist with resource identification and management on your projects and any impacts with resource decisions on other projects

Be data driven with all documentation and perform project health data analysis to ensure quantitative as well as qualitative proof of trends

Propose changes to PMO methodologies, frameworks, and best practices for continuous process improvement; participate in teams that undertake continuous process improvement initiatives

Provide timely feedback to team members and their respective managers to ensure that Shockoe resources may acknowledge successes and performance opportunities

Motivate and lead project teams, instilling a mindset of collaboration, curiosity and continuous process improvement
-
Serve in an advisory and consultative role to teams and stakeholders on project-related activities as needed

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal team members and our clients

Competencies and Experience:
-
Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable experience in a Project Management role, 1 of which being in a mid-level Project Management role, independently managing multiple medium to large complexity projects concurrently
-
2 years of recent implementation/consulting project management experience using Agile, Scrum and Kanban best practices
-
2 years of recent digital Project Management experience, preferably web and mobile development with extensive experience managing CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and CMS (Content Management System) based implementations

Experience managing project teams of 5 or more people
-
Experience coordinating UX:UI Designers, Front and Back End Developers, QA, and Sales
-
Must have intermediate knowledge of software development lifecycle and/or infrastructure project delivery
-
Able to maintain a high degree of customer / client / sponsor satisfaction while also maintaining necessary project controls

Proven track record of delivering projects within budget, scope and schedule
-
Strong functional skills to include: requirements gathering, client interaction, data analysis (ex. sprint velocity, impact, churn/lag time, etc.), strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience providing accurate summaries on project health, including but not limited to risk, resource, budget and stakeholder management
-
Demonstrable objective decision-making ability based on strategic objectives priority, business performance analysis and resource availability

Data-driven thinker with meticulous attention to detail
-
Experience in methods of estimating time and resources for task assignments and resource leveling
-
Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment

Demonstrated ability to "think outside the box" while identifying problems and developing creative solutions

Must be able to easily grasp and communicate complex ideas

Demonstrable experience working efficiently and at scale with minimal supervision as a member of a team as well as independently

Foster a climate conducive to establishing positive working relationships with teams and clients (internal and external)

Able to remain calm and focused under pressure while retaining a sense of urgency
-
Active PMP and/or CSM certification(s), or the ability and interest in earning both certifications within the first year at Shockoe, with interest in continued professional development
