Construction Project Manager
Our client is a prominent steel fabrication company dedicated to delivering top-quality products and services. With a focus on innovation, reliability, and customer satisfaction, they specialize in Commercial Heavy Steel. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join their team and lead the successful execution of their projects.
Position Overview:
The Construction Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of steel fabrication projects from inception to delivery. They will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the steel fabrication industry and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure compliance with industry regulations and client specifications.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing any concerns or issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, including engineers, fabricators, subcontractors, and vendors, to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety protocols and regulations to create a safe working environment for all project personnel.
- Cost Control: Monitor project expenses and expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in project management, specifically within the steel fabrication industry.
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
