Overview
Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager to join our Land Planning team in Holly Springs, NC!
Responsibilities
+ Has an entrepreneurial spirit and create a vision for growth for our Land Planning Services practice team while growing their own projects, clients and team around them.
+ Lead a practice specializing in urban and regional master planning, land use and zoning, and land planning focused in the local region.
+ Develop a comprehensive project plan that outlines objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
+ Project Managers are encouraged to pursue opportunities that fuel their professional passion and contribute to firmwide success.
+ Leadership responsibilities include:
+ Lead a team while building and managing relationships with key clients.
+ Operate with integrity and sound business principles.
+ Provide practice vision, business planning and strategy, establishing goals, building and maintaining positive client relationships.
+ Open communication with partners and team, along with growing and directing a Community Planning Services practice.
+ Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, help recruit, and be a positive role model.
+ Facilitate communication and collaboration with clients, government agencies, landowners, and other relevant stakeholders.
+ Ensure that the project adheres to zoning regulations, environmental laws, and other legal requirements.
+ Identify potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
+ Ensure that the project is executed with a high level of quality and meets the client's expectations.

Qualifications
+ 8+ years of years progressive experience growing and leading a diverse Land Planning practice with clients
+ Bachelors Degree or higher in city or regional planning or related
+ Registered American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Preferred
+ Local and regional experience preferred
+ Provide high quality deliverables with exceptional client service
+ A desire to lead and grow a planning practice
+ Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work.
+ Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
