We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager to join our fast-paced construction team. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional with solid experience in the construction industry, particularly in managing heavy civil projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing underground utilities, sewer systems, stormwater, and culvert projects. This role requires an individual who is not only technically skilled but is also a natural leader with a knack for project management.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects from initiation to completion.
2. Develop project schedules and work plans in coordination with various stakeholders.
3. Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
4. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
5. Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
6. Handle issues arising from the construction process, ensuring effective resolution and minimal project disruption.
7. Prepare and submit project reports, including status reports, budget reports, and final project reports.
8. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the status of all projects under management, including any potential risks or issues.
9. Foster a positive working environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication, and safety.
10. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in managing heavy civil projects, including underground utilities, sewer systems, stormwater, and culvert projects.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, materials, and quality standards.
5. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
6. Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining control of project timelines and deliverables.
7. Proficient in project management software.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
