Our client is looking to add an exceptional Project Manager to their team in Livermore, CA. They have been in the business for nearly 40 years producing high-quality protein and nutritional supplements to their customers. They take pride in delivering the highest quality private-label dietary supplements, vitamins, nutraceuticals, and nutritional products.
Job Overview:
The Project Manager/New Product Introduction (NPI) Associate is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to the launch of new products and pilot trials across various departments. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, this role supports all customer accounts by ensuring that product development projects are managed efficiently and delivered on time. The NPI Associate works closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth communication, maintain timelines, and address any issues that may arise during the product introduction process.
This individual must adapt to changing circumstances, manage conflicts, and make informed decisions to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Cross-functional Coordination:
Serve as the central point of contact for all new product launches and pilot trials, working closely with key stakeholders across departments such as R&D, Packaging, Quality, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
Project Management:
Manage the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring that all stages are completed on time and align with company objectives. Monitor progress and identify potential risks, raising flags when timelines are at risk. Lead the cross functional teams to ensure successful delivery of different project types, which includes New Product Development (NPD), Line Extensions, Packaging Changes, Productivity Improvements, or Manufacturing Network changes. At times may help with other company projects, such as installation costs and timelines of the following: new equipment, software implementations, facility improvements, etc.
Stakeholder Meetings:
Organize and lead weekly (or as-needed) meetings with internal teams and customers. Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, document action items, and track team progress to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
Project Management Software:
Ensure that project management software is updated and that all tasks and milestones are tracked accurately. Maintain detailed project reports, monitor deadlines, and escalate potential delays or issues.
Communication & Reporting:
Provide regular project status updates to the VP of Sales and other stakeholders, including customers and leadership. Prepare reports that outline project progress, risks, and next steps.
Customer Account Support:
Support all customer accounts by coordinating product launches and managing their specific requirements throughout the development process. Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and delivery.
Issue Resolution:
Quickly address any issues or roadblocks that arise during the product development process. Escalate unresolved problems to the appropriate parties and recommend solutions to keep projects on track.
Continuous Improvement:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving the new product introduction process, aiming for greater efficiency and successful future launches.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably in product development or new product introduction (NPI) environments.
- Proficiency in project management tools, specifically Wrike (or similar platforms).
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (R&D, QA, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, etc.).
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to support customer accounts effectively.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $67,000.00 - $85,000.00 Per Year
