Position Summary:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing electrical construction projects, coordinating with superintendents, general contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. This role demands a detail-oriented, organized professional with strong communication skills and experience in the commercial and electrical construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of electrical construction projects in the metro Atlanta area.
- Collaborate daily with superintendents and general contractors to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
- Utilize Pandera Software or similar products like Procore for project management tasks.
- Accurately identify and allocate man hours for various tasks, including underground work, conduit installation, low voltage systems, and trim-out phases.
- Handle daily paperwork, including reports, timesheets, communications, and invoicing.
- Manage change orders efficiently to accommodate project modifications.
- Oversee the purchasing of materials weekly and maintain an accurate inventory of existing materials on the job site.
- Maintain clear communication with all parties involved to keep the project flowing smoothly and on schedule.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
- Manage staffing needs on the job site and coordinate with vendors as required.
- Monitor spending, track project progress, and provide accurate forecasting to ensure financial success.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, specifically within the commercial and electrical sectors.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with project management software such as Pandera or Procore.
- Ability to effectively manage time, resources, and project timelines.
- Experience with managing budgets, forecasting, and ensuring project profitability.
