Experience Required
- 10+ years with at least 3 years of project management experience
Technical/Functional Skills
- Experience in business case development for strategies that involve either in product development, manufacturing or sourcing initiatives
- Experience in analysis that define product development/ manufacturing project timelines, costs and savings as related to specific scope
- Experience in Microsoft project and MS office skills to manage and drive project plans and deliverables
- Experience in the Medical Device domain leading new product development, cross functional or product transfer projects
- Experience in dealing with various stakeholders (internal and external) to concur alignment and push for meeting objectives/deliverables
- Experience in value stream mapping and/or value engineering projects
Roles & Responsibilities
- Candidate will be responsible for managing team of sourcing/manufacturing engineers in offshore location (India) engaged in supporting instrument standardization projects
- Will be responsible for interfacing with Cross Functional department (e.g Product development, QA, Regulatory, Global suppliers, Procurement etc) to ensure project timelines are met.
- Communicate to Internal Management/Customer managers on project status on weekly basis – report on team performance on schedule, delivery timeline, areas of improvement, open requests, project closures.
- Responsibilities may include documentation management and an understanding of good manufacturing practices (GMPs)and ability to create new & innovative design concepts
- Occasionally need to model/design instruments and create manufacturing prints for quick turnaround/high priority requests
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal/team effectiveness with ability to succinctly and accurately communicate to various levels of management
- Effective decision making skills with ability to negotiate and balance decisions and priorities across needs of several functional departments and willingness to make tough decisions
- Strong analytical, planning, organization and time management skills to effectively develop and execute comprehensive projects
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Associates Science Degree with relevant Medical Device Product Development background
