About the Job
Milne Electric & Technologies, an industry leader in construction and maintenance of electrical and low voltage systems in the Puget Sound Area, is searching for an experienced Project Manager. This position is responsible all phases of electrical construction projects including proposal development, estimating, design and preconstruction, and the coordination for construction, while ensuring that projects are proceeding on schedule and within budget.
The ideal candidate is driven, has great communication skills, able to handle multiple projects and eager to take on challenges. This position will work out the Milne office located in Monroe, with some flexibility for remote work.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager:
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policies. Put these in clear concise work statement for the field.
- Negotiate and supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project.
- Maintain all logs required to track the progress of the project.
- Train and effectively supervise a Project Assistant in the maintenance of project required tracking devices.
- Maintain liaison with prime client and A/E to facilitate construction activities.
- Monitor construction activities in conjunction with the onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure project is being built on schedule, and within budgets.
- Investigate any potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines, and under supervision.
- Represent company/project in meetings with client, subcontractors, etc.
- Prepare monthly costing reports.
- Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client.
- Submittal Creation and Review
- Correspondence and coordination with GC and Subcontractors
- Job Closeout including O&M’s
What the Successful Candidate will have:
- 3 years of project management experience with a commercial electrical contractor
- Degree in Construction Management preferred
- Estimating experience, McCormick preferred
- Electrical estimating capabilities in order to produce job change orders, evaluate and apply job estimates and assist with new estimates as required
- Ability to use good judgment in negotiating change orders with the customer is a requirement
- Experience with integrated job cost systems to budget, evaluate, and project costs
- Experience with the identification and quantification of project impacts is preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with integrated job cost systems to budget, evaluate reports and project final costing
- Self-starter capable of working independently and as a member of a team
Compensation:
- $90,000.00 to $180,000.00 per year, DOE
- Potential for additional Bonuses dependent on a mutable of factors (such as Company Profitability; Division Profitability; Personal Performance)
