About the Job
Position Purpose
This position is responsible for managing large, complex government programs, contracts and subcontracts. Frequent customer and internal interaction. Must be focused on customer support, mission operation and supply chain. Under direction of the Sr. Program Manager of Mission Support Solutions (MSS), assist in the oversight of Erickson employees and subcontractor personnel assigned to the Program. Oversees maintenance activities ensuring key performance indicators and contract deliverables are met with the highest levels of safety and quality of service.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Creates, implements and manages detailed project plans to facilitate and support the project strategy and execution phases.
- Identifies and assesses project issues and develops recommended solutions.
- Provide planning, administrative, budgetary, and direct supervision to assigned MRO project.
- Ensures work is performed safely within budgeted time and while remaining in regulatory compliance and meeting customer and company guidelines.
- Performs and recommends management actions related to hiring, scheduling, employee development, coaching, mentoring and discipline.
- Understands and creates various reports and analyses related to project performance.
- Liaison’s with the customer to ensure coordination of activities related to the project.
- Participate in the proposal process in response to new business inquiries.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in business administration or related discipline and at least six years of progressively complex experience in project administration required. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Must have a good understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, budget management, as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
- Must possess: (1) the ability to initiate, plan and manage projects; (2) the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a wide range of issues; (3) strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; and, (4) the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
- Must be able to attain and maintain a TSA/Homeland Airport Security Ramp Access Pass.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience using Microsoft Project desired, but not required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification desired, but not required.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) desired, but not required.
- Experience using Deltek Costpoint desired, but not required.
