We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Manager to join our municipality team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing and delivering complex construction projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities:
1. Leading and managing all aspects of construction projects from pre-construction to project closeout.
2. Collaborating with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and other project team members to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
3. Developing comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
4. Monitoring project performance to ensure it stays on schedule and within budget.
5. Proactively identifying, managing, and mitigating project risks and issues.
6. Ensuring all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company and industry standards.
7. Implementing and managing change when necessary to meet project outputs.
8. Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety policies and regulations.
9. Reporting on project progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders and senior management.
10. Ensuring high-quality standards are met in all stages of the project.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a project management role within the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in managing mid-rise and high-end construction projects.
4. Previous experience as a general contractor is highly desirable.
5. Proficient in project management software, particularly Procore.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
9. Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
10. A strong understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and safety laws.
11. PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
12. Ability to travel as needed to construction sites within the municipality.
