Position Overview:
- Reporting to the Director of Product Development Operations, this individual will be responsible for the planning and execution of a broad range of project management activities to support Product Development organization.
- Accountabilities include ensuring governance, initiatives, activities, and processes drive toward the accomplishment of the product development strategic plan in support of the enterprise goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Project Manager and / or participate, as needed, in any initiatives that are identified in PD / PDO annual objectives and / or strategic initiatives.
- Support of tracking milestones, metrics, and KPIs across a portfolio of projects impacting global Product Development.
- Applies digital and analytical tools to streamline and improve reporting of project status and progress.
- Tracks resource (people and dollars) demand and supply across the project portfolio. Identifies and seeks to resolve conflicts, bottlenecks, and budgetary risks.
- Accountable for facilitating regular project reviews and prioritization exercises to ensure the portfolio is fresh and focused on the most important deliverables.
- Provide departmental business operations support (track objectives, facilitate staff meetings, create / maintain SharePoint sites amongst other activities).
- Use a structured change management methodology (e.g. process & tools) to guide project-level change management activities, in collaboration with project leads.
- Conduct diagnostic to characterize the types of change anticipated by the project.
- Facilitate working sessions with project lead / team to identify specific impacts to each stakeholder group.
- Develop detailed list of interventions & action items to address the identified impacts.
- Own communications-related action items in change plan, including writing short articles about the impact of the project to be featured in internal newsletters.
- Provide PM support to ensure execution of the change plan in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, connectivity, influence, negotiate, and drive organizational engagement across sites and with the enterprise.
- Strong learning agility (to be quickly trained in the change at Client methodology, process, & tools).
- Strong written & verbal communication skills, including ability to make the complex more easily understood through written narrative & clear presentations.
- Strong problem solver & facilitator especially in ambiguous situations, including ability to ask open ended questions that encourage discussion.
- Prior experience leading or supporting organizational change is desired but not required.
- Intermediate level experience using MS Tools, SharePoint, SAP, and Smartsheets.
- Bachelor's degree in business or relevant scientific discipline, required.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or related industry.
- Project management experience with the ability to develop clear action plans and drive execution to meet timelines and deliver on commitments.
- PMP Certification, a plus.
