Project Manager - Oracle Fusion Finance Implementation
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Duration: 9+ Months with long term possible extension
Multiyear engagement with 24+ months of multi phased implementation program plus postproduction stabilization
The ideal candidate is the one who has started his carrier with Oracle ERP, having hand-on experience with Oracle Finance and grew into a project management lead role
We are looking for an Atlanta base candidate who can come to the office most of the weekdays.
The Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP Finance module is a robust system designed to streamline and enhance financial management for organizations
As a Project Manager for the Finance modules, your role would likely involve overseeing the implementation, customization, and ongoing management of these modules to ensure it aligns with your organization's financial goals and processes
Here are some key responsibilities and tasks you might handle:
Responsibilities Oversees the coordination of a large-scale program or multiple complex delivery projects.
Responsible for leading and direction of major projects, initiatives, functional groups or large project teams.
Lead for defined scope such as Business Case, Operating Model, and cost model.
Coordinate with various stakeholders including finance teams, IT departments, and external consultants to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Develops comprehensive program and project plans, including resources, deliverables and timing.
Accountable for delivering the initiative plan from conception to implementation.
Shapes and leads programs that translate results from business diagnosis and planning into transformation programs / system integration projects, based on client priorities, and outcomes of the business case
Guides teams to address the right problems as efficiently and effectively as possible, applying insights from diverse projects, functional/industry, and prior system implementations, etc.
Develops and articulates points of view and thought leadership with client executives
Identifies and prioritizes value creation opportunities based on assessment activities and an understanding of client high level visions, performance gaps, and needs
Customization and Configuration Oversee the customization and configuration of the Finance module to meet the specific needs of your organization.
Ensure that all financial processes, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting, are properly configured.
Testing and Quality Assurance Develop and execute test plans to ensure that the Finance module operates correctly and meets the requirements.
Address and resolve any issues or bugs that arise during testing.
Training and Support Coordinate training sessions for end-users to ensure they are comfortable using the new system.
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to address any issues or concerns that arise post-implementation.
Change Management Manage the change management process to ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems to the new ERP module.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to keep them informed about progress and any changes.
Performance Monitoring Monitor the performance of the Finance module to ensure it is functioning optimally.
Implement improvements and optimizations based on feedback and performance metrics.
Reporting and Compliance Ensure that the Finance module adheres to relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights and support decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications Project Management: Strong skills in project management methodologies, including Agile or Waterfall, to effectively lead the implementation process.
ERP Expertise: 10 to 15 years of Oracle ERP with at least 5 years of Oracle Fusion implementation experience with Finance and SCM focus
Deep understanding of Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP Finance modules functionalities and best practices.
Financial Acumen: Knowledge of financial processes and accounting principles to ensure the ERP system meets financial needs.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executive management.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and optimize system performance.
Tools and Resources Oracle Cloud Fusion Documentation: Utilize Oracle’s official documentation and resources for guidance and best practices.
Project Management Software: Tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, or Quality Center (ALM) to manage tasks and timelines.
