What you will do::- The ability to multitask and manage several concurrent projects.
- Analyzing architectural drawings, interpreting specifications, preparing material take-offs as required, and obtaining quotations & lead times from suppliers to prepare accurate cost estimates to be submitted to the customer.
- Follow quoted projects through to completion, ensuring that all lead times are met and billing procedures are followed.
- Prepare submittal packages for approval by architect and/or engineer. Communicate and follow through on all issues with design and timeline to ensure top notch customer service.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and general contractors.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and participate in educational and training opportunities. These training opportunities may sometimes require out of state travel which will be reimbursed by the company.
- Minimum 3 years in the Division 8 industry, including prior experience as a project manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred but will hire any candidate with correct background or experience.
- Ability to read & interpret architectural specifications & drawings.
- Applicant must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. Experience with estimating software such as AVAware, Comsense, Emullion or Pro-tech is also required.
