About the Job
Our client is currently seeking a Project Manager.
Summary:
- Our client is seeking a Project Manager to join their team to oversee construction installation projects. This role will provide coordination, project management, planning and implementation for systems addressing their clients needs.
- The projects are primarily in aviation, shipyard, mining, military, and other industrial settings.
- It will be important that all candidates have a strong background ensuring budgets are met, materials are in place, and experience coordinating general contractors.
- Support Service Sales pre-turnover activities including pre-release approvals.
- Participate in project contract review.
- Coordinate design review, as needed.
- Plan and execute specialty projects.
- Responsible for project costs and overruns, if applicable, to the bid calc.
- Responsible for Electrical and Mechanical drawing submittals.
- Responsible for service activities, end-user, and General Contractor (GC) coordination.
- Responsible for managing project Change Orders.
- Coordinate field activities.
- Plan and implement project coordination improvements historical issues.
- Responsible for technical questions regarding work performed.
- Assist with Service Sales requests such as technical questions & project administration questions.
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
- Knowledge of general building construction management.
- Experience with architectural and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of applicable building codes and construction techniques.
- Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
- Knowledge of contract review & negotiations
- Demonstrated analytical problem-solving experience and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work and lead in a team environment.
- Proven organizational skills; prioritize and organize tasks, efficiently and effectively.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency on getting tasks closure.
- Proven customer resolution skills and ability to maintain perspective in conflict resolution.
- Self-starter, able to work without direct supervision.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management or Engineering
- 3+ years of project management experience over construction projects with proven experience in strategic planning
- Background with general contracting or sub-contracting
- PMP
Pay Range:
- $85 95k, annual salary
