- 7+ years proven track record delivering large-scale, distributed systems in a complex ecosystem
- 7+ years in VMware: infrastructure virtualization, cloud deployments & IT
- 7+ years deploying, operating, triaging Web and/or video IPTV.
- Improve our team's ability to execute, evaluate progress, and empower leaders to make management decisions for our IP video product ops.
- Remove obstacles slowing team progress, balancing dependencies, and escalating blockers to Management to negotiate smooth resolution.
- Coordinate root case analyses and ensure lessons-learned are turned into Backlog tasks, e.g. process improvements, architecture tweaks, bug fixes.
- Ask insightful questions and leverage team strengths to expose and resolve operational and architectural challenges for video programs.
- Identify, communicate & manage dependencies, risks, & mitigation plans.
- Promote a collaborative environment that fosters creativity & innovation.
- Occasional travel for cross-team meetings with Eng. & Deploy teams.
- Able to establish technical credibility quickly to earn trust and results
- 7+ years proven track record delivering large-scale, distributed systems in a complex ecosystem
- 7+ years in VMware: infrastructure virtualization, cloud deployments & IT
- Certifications or 7+ years experience to basic Cisco networking and an understanding of unified computing system components and services
- 7+ years deploying, operating, triaging Web and/or video IPTV.
- Proven track record building motivated and collaborative teams
- Able to flourish in a rapidly changing, matrix environment.
- Effective facilitator w/ excellent consensus building skills
- Excellent organizational skills in service to both smooth execution and enterprise-level communications.
- Courageous, assertive and determined to remove impediments
- Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills.
Nice-to-Haves:
- 5-10 years working as an Engineer: IT, software, analytics.
- 5-10 years in a highly accountable, data driven business or operation.
- Formal education in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Familiarity with advertising technology, operations or specs (SCTE)
- Scrum Master, PMP or equivalent certification.
