About the Job
The Project Manager role plans, directs and coordinates activities of assigned project to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. This role will require some travel to Ontario, Canada and throughout the Southeast.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding of PFD, UFD, P&ID, and other processes & mechanical flow processes.
- Understanding master project schedule and create breakdowns under supervision.
- Giving shape to a conceptual plan and developing it with colleagues.
- Making specifications and standards for each project as required
- Carrying out front load of multiple construction projects as per client specification.
- Figuring out production details from owner such as products, production capacity, raw materials, and mass balance.
- Making block flow sheets
- Summarize process utilities and capacities.
- Creating project schedule along with setting milestones.
- Explaining above input to engineering firms & vendors with RFQs.
- Finding out risks and discussing solutions as Project Manager with other members of the project.
- Giving directions to project team and department members
- Human resource planning in assigned project and discussing with Sr. Manager for project organization.
- Familiar with local code and rules. Must be able to explain to client.
- Process equipment procurement including RFQ creation, collect proposals, and evaluate.
- Drawing review, Q&A, red-marking, and input vendor print to engineering consultants.
- Frequent travels to meet clients or consultants.
- May need to stay at sites for any length of time as a Project Engineer when necessary.
Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 8-10 years' experience in the Industrial Construction industry.
- Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent modeling software.
- Project management experience is a huge plus.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, Mechanical, or industrial engineering.
