Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of the HR Technology PMO, this position leads high-priority, high-impact projects in support of the UCPath Roadmap initiative, which is an ongoing effort to improve the UCPath system, currently deployed across all locations at the University of California for management of Human Resources and Payroll functions. UCPath uses the Oracle 9.2 HCM modules for Workforce Administration, Absence Management, Payroll, General Ledger. The incumbent will lead projects of various complexity, from simple to highly complex, using a variety of proven project management techniques and will leverage their extensive project management experience and understanding of HR technologies to enhance program efficacy and implement technical solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead significant HR technology projects, collaborate with diverse teams, and drive impactful improvements within the HR organization at UC Davis.* This is a 2-year contract position. Salary not to exceed $112,000 per year. - Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training.Requires basic knowledge of project management principles, theories, and concepts and demonstrated organization and project management skills.Effective at tracking effort and project progress.Proven leadership ability. Effective problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to put forth persuasive arguments.Thorough knowledge of business and process analysis functions.In-depth understanding and skill in process and systems requirement documentation standards, such as Use Case modeling, User Story creations and narrative description.Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrates problem solving skills.Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant Project Management or Business Analysis certificationsMaster's or doctorate in project or analysis fieldsExperience implementing large projects across diverse areas.Experience in using scheduling and resourcing tools.Experience working at the University of California or other higher education institutions, especially ones with a campus and a medical center.Advanced knowledge of human resource functions, policy and practices.Key Responsibilities
