About the Job
As a Project Manager- Public Sector Operations in our Corporate Investment Bank, you will manage the response to and onboarding of new Public Sector client mandates into our Public Sector Operations team. You will be part of a new function collocated with our Sales, Product, Operations and Technology teams, evaluating a robust deal pipeline to define and design operational solutions in support of Request for Proposal (RFP) and manage their integration into the Public Sector Operations team. Collaboration with senior management, external clients, third-party partners, and internal partners in Technology, Sales, Product is core to the role.
Job responsibilities
- Work closely with Sales, Product, Operations and Technology stakeholders to define and implement target operating models and processes that support client mandates
- Manage the successful onboarding of new operational processes, establishing and instrumenting service level agreements with third-party vendors to ensure completion of client deliverables
- Design and deliver enhancements to existing processes and/or business applications, introduce new processes and/or toolsets, and proactively engage in process re-engineering

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Ability to gain credibility and respect among business leaders, key stakeholders and staff by demonstrating curiosity, expertise, sound decision making, and possessing excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills
- Experience delivering complex transformation initiatives within a matrix organization
- Proven track record in overseeing the work of third-party partners, holding them accountable for quality and timeliness of delivery
- Exhibits excellent judgment and experience making high-impact decisions with accountability and ownership of outcomes
- Excellent analytical skills and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable to change; capable of adjusting strategy or process in response to dynamic business environment and unexpected changes; ability to navigate large organization with confidence
- Strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skill to motivate teams, make decisions, and guide the organization toward operational goals
- Demonstrate outstanding ethics, integrity, and judgment within everything they do
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 8+ years of Transformation experience within Financial Services dealing with large scale operations and change agendas; direct experience in Payments
- Strong knowledge and experience of business architecture including development of Business Models and Target Operating models deployed on large scale organizations
- Proven track record of partnering with Business stakeholders to design and implement new processes, utilizing core technology and digital tools as an enabler
- Creative problem solver who is outcome oriented, with proven ability improve operations performance
- Exhibits a commercial mindset - attitude of personal accountability for the Firm's resources
- Prior experience working with or for a State or Federal Government entity
