About the Role:
Successful experience as PM on one or more large IT project(s) with a Commonwealth agency/agencies is highly desired, and reference are required.
Candidates with Commonwealth IT project experience will be considered first.
DGS is looking for a well experienced, detail-oriented, process driven, organized senior Project Manager to manage a large-scale technology project with our Division of Consolidated Laboratory Services.
DGS is looking for a detail-oriented, process-driven, organized senior IT Project Manager to manage a large-scale IT project in support of the Division of Consolidated Laboratory Services (DCLS) within DGS.
This resource will be responsible for overseeing implementation of the clinical and environment laboratory information management system(s) (LIMS) , ensuring project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across different departments to gather requirements, create and maintain documentation, provide RFP input, plan project timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
Active PMP or Customer PMD cert required
Responsibilities:
Clearly define roles and responsibilities, drive constructive and productive participation by all involved.
Aggressively manage project tasks assuring work progresses according to schedule.
Collecting requirements from a broad set of users and combining them into a comprehensive statement of requirements.
Prepare documentation, obtain approval, and track all changes in project scope.
Communicate project changes and events to stakeholders and senior management.
Setting project goals and developing plans to meet those goals
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Manage multiple associated projects throughout the project lifetime to ensure success as defined by adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.
Conduct regular project meetings and ensure comprehensive documentation of project progress and outcomes.
Provides timely status reports to reflect project status, issues, and risks.
Proactive identification of risks and impacts, and collaboration with customer and project team to address concerns.
The position consults with the project team on all aspects of project management and ensures compliance with Commonwealth project management policies, standards, and guidelines.
